Resource managers in each of the four regions are well acquainted with the resources in their communities and the surrounding areas.

  • Advocating for your family: Post Adoption Resource Center resource specialists can advocate for families trying to navigate the mental health system, education services, supplemental Social Security, and provide information on subsidy applications and changes.
  • Helping you and your family reach your goals: Post Adoption Resource Center offers support and training to families who have adopted children. Each of the four sections of the Upper Peninsula offers families trainings in areas that effect adoptive families, as well as the support of families who are experiencing the same problems, successes, and goals as your family.
  • Preserving the Family: Sometimes issues or event challenge the resiliency of the family and threaten the success of the adoption. A Post Adoption Specialist can meet regularly with your family and assist in whatever it takes to hold together and strengthen the family. This could include helping you develop a family plan that identifies the services, strategies, and supports to meet your goals.
  • Whatever it takes!
